New Year, New Mindset on cooking!!!

Hi y'all, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Can you believe that it's the start of the new decade?!
Today's post focuses on the act of cooking. This is a special activity that makes my heart happy, so I would like to share some of my thoughts on how to make it easier for those who may not have the same view as me!

I believe that one of the biggest hurdles people face when it comes to cooking is all the shopping that goes along with it. I'm pretty sure that people become easily overwhelmed, and also a little fearful when thinking about preparing a meal for themselves and or their families. However, with my advice and recipes this "fear or overwhelming feeling" can be easily overcome.

My main advice is to make sure you always have these 7 staple ingredients in your kitchen at all times:
  1. Sea Salt
  2. Black Pepper
  3. Cooking Spray
  4. Avocado Oil or Olive Oil
  5. Honey
  6. Minced Garlic (dried or fresh)
  7. Fresh Lemons
*These seven items can spice and flavor any protein or vegetables; you'll see that when checking out most of healthy side recipes.

Now when it comes to preparing meals quickly there are several shortcuts you can take & they are super simple:
  1. Pre-planning aka MEAL PREP: Cook in bulk baby.
  2. Always have a running shopping list: Your Iphone or android has this in the reminder section.
  3. Left-overs are your friend: I grew up in a household that never let anything go to waste. Just because you have leftover chicken, doesn't mean you have "leftover chicken". It can be easily turned into another meal!
  4. Schedule your eating times: Yes, everyday looks different but it is definitely possible to schedule a wide range of time to schedule a snack or meal in!
Cooking can be a therapeutic experience, it can make your soul sing & bring your family even closer, don't miss the blessing in it, by overthinking it!

XOXO,
